Starting to grey out in the face, more through his mane and tail too.
Differing hair quality over his backline may suggest a dorsal stripe??
Dun is in his pedigree, he may go through from steel grey to grey dun to fully grey like his sire.
I am hoping that there will be dapples, both Mac (sire) and Cedar had dapples.
looking a bit tense half way through a bit of a hoon,
you can see Cloudy's ample furnishings (tail and feathers, mane is all on the other side)
and his minimal white; a small star on his head and a dot on his rear, nearside heel bulb.
You may also notice a small bit of brown in his 'armpit' area.
Good straight legs, hard black hooves.
This picture makes him look a bit hollow in the back, but it's only because
he was waiting to spring off into his next canter around the paddock.
Cloudy with paddock mate Harry (Dungarron Harris)
I haven't measured either of them, i will after their next hoof trim.
I expect Cloudy will be just under 14hh at the moment, Harry just below that.
Their breeding suggests Cloudy will be a little taller and a little 'finer'
(not in a riding pony stick-neck-and-leg kind of fine, just a little less 'blocky' than Harry if that makes sense)
Maybe you can 'see' the difference in the amount of bone
(Harry is a gelding from a 'heavier' type of mare than Cloudy's dam)
I am without a video camera, so it is hard to portray movement in a still photograph,
but this boy is fluid and comfortable at all paces.
Though he's nowhere near being put under saddle yet, i'm sure he will do well when he is started.
